An electric battery powered urban "motorcycle"... begs the question... when does a motorcycle become a... scooter?
As a biker since the age of 16, and having ridden scooters and motorbikes, the difference for me comes down to handling, gears and speed.
This concept bike looks awful to me aesthetically, but of course is "green".. in so much as battery power can be... (much of electricity still comes from coal and nuclear facilities)...
I would be amazed if it handles like a motorbike.
The physical design has a street-racer motorcycle riding position, but if it chugs along like a scooter, there is no need for that riding position, which is intended to streamline air resistance when riding at speed, but isn't the most comfortable position for general riding.
Anyway, at least someone is thinking about reducing the carbon footprint of motorcycles, but personally I would have to ask this person if he/she actually rides motorbikes...? They need to get more feedback from riders perhaps? Or maybe they are just trying to get a conversation started?
(NB the intro is too long.. skip ahead to 1'12" for the actual bike)
